About Eva

I’m a warm, compassionate and person-centred counsellor who believes that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, respected and accepted without judgement. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, identity concerns, relationship difficulties and other challenges that can affect wellbeing. I have a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and creating an affirming space where clients can feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to therapy.

My approach draws on evidence-based therapeutic practices, including narrative and somatic approaches. I work at your pace and aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply and work towards meaningful change. I believe that counselling is not about having someone tell you what to do, but about having a supportive space to reflect, gain perspective and discover what feels right for you.

Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge or simply feel that something needs to change, you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Taking the first step can feel daunting, and I aim to make that process as comfortable and welcoming as possible. I’m here to meet you where you are, without judgement, and support you as you move towards greater self-understanding, wellbeing and a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to see you?

No referral is needed. You can reach out directly through the intake form or book an appointment online, whichever feels easier for you.

Are sessions held online or in-person?

All sessions are held online via Halaxy, a secure Telehealth platform. You can join a session from anywhere in Australia (or the world) and settle into a space that feels the most comfortable for you.

How often will we meet?

Most people require a session weekly or fortnightly, however we can adjust the rhythm together depending on your needs on a pace that is comfortable for you.

What does it cost?

All sessions are 50 minutes long and cost $120. I also hold a limited number of reduced-fee places for people in financial need, if this is relevant for you please mention it in your intake form.

What is your cancellation policy?

Payment is required at the time of booking, and it is fully (100%) refundable if you cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are not refundable.

Is this really LGBTQIA+ affirming?

Yes, affirming, not merely "aware." Your gender, sexuality, and expression are met with curiosity and respect, never pathologised. You won't be asked to educate me about who you are.

Is what I share kept private?

Everything you share will be kept completely confidential. However, there are standard legal exceptions to confidentiality which will be discussed in our first session.

What if I'm in a crisis?

If you are currently experiencing a crisis and need urgent support, please contact 000 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

If your question is not listed here, please email Eva.

Further information

My Approach

My counselling approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life. I aim to create a genuine, non-judgemental and collaborative therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences at your own pace.

I also draw on narrative and somatic approaches. Narrative therapy can help us explore the stories and beliefs you have developed about yourself and your experiences, while somatic approaches can help us notice the ways emotions, stress and experiences can show up in the body. I may draw from different therapeutic techniques depending on what feels most helpful for you, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

What to Expect

Our sessions are a space for you to talk openly about whatever is bringing you to counselling. We may explore current challenges, patterns in your thoughts and behaviours, relationships, emotions, identity, past experiences or goals for the future. You are always welcome to let me know what you need from our sessions, and we can work together to determine what feels most useful.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to talk about before your first session. We can begin wherever feels most comfortable and take things at your pace.

I offer online counselling appointments Monday to Friday from 10am–7pm and Saturday from 10am–5pm AEST.

Fees

My session fee is $120 per 50-minute session (with a limited number of reduced fee places available for those experiencing financial hardship).

I understand that accessing counselling is an important investment, and I aim to provide a supportive and meaningful space for each client. If you have any questions about sessions, fees or whether counselling with me may be suitable for you, you are welcome to reach out before booking.
